Build a Wellbeing Hub at Cranbrook CofE Primary

Donation protected
Cranbrook Church of England Primary School is focused on working together to create a positive, vibrant and supportive learning environment. The wellbeing of our children is at the forefront of everything we do. Through consultation with children, parents, governers and staff we feel the development of a wellbeing hub would have a material impact on the happiness, fulfilment and outcomes for our children and community.

Our proposed Sanctuary Wellbeing hub will be:
A healthy place of discovery that enables children to reap the benefits of being outdoors.
A therapeutic space to spend time with friends and develop positive relationships.
A sensory space for children to explore their senses and learn about the environment around them.
A nurturing space for children to undertake therapy and counselling sessions.
A family space to support parents and carers through a whole family approach.

The hub will be located on the school grounds in an enclave of the school field adjacent to mature woodland and our Forest School site. It will have easy access from our classrooms for those with physical needs. The front elevation will lie toward the open field and woodland to create a woodland vista away from the school buildings. It will be surrounded by a sensory garden, seating, swings and outdoor shelter to ensure its use in all seasons.

Planning consent has been submitted and we are hoping to complete the project in 2023.
