Build Adirondack Chairs for Veterans
Donation protected
My name is Alec Chambers. I am the proud Woodshop teacher at Center High School in Kansas City, MO. Veterans Community Project (VCP) is right down the road from our school and serves an invaluable role in our community. Their organization houses a community of 49 tiny homes that help veterans get back on their feet. Being a military veteran returning to civilian life can be a challenge. VCP helps veterans in need, from housing assistance, to hosting a food bank, to financial literacy classes. Center is proud to partner with VCP to build a high-quality Adirondack chair for each of the 49 homes in their community. 100% of funds will be used to purchase materials for the project, and all excess funds will be donated directly to VCP.
Check out the Center Woodshop and Skilled Trades Facebook page to learn more about our program. It is a private group, but mention that you are donating to the VCP project when you request membership and admin will accept your request.
