Build an Orphanage for Christian Pakistani Orphans
Tax deductible
Hi. My name is Elizabeth Paige Chavoustie.
I am the Founder of In His Hands International Ministries and Bible College and Co-Founder of Hopes House Kenya , which is our first orphanage project, located in Kitale, Kenya.
God called my husband and I to a life of ministry to the orphans of the world when he called us to adopt to of our children, who at the time were 8 and 11, from Russia.
Two years ago, our ministry partnered with Evangelical Gospel Ministries of Pakistan, when they signed up for our free online Bible College and we saw the incredible, and dangerous, work they were doing to boldly spread the Gospel of Christ among their own people of Pakistan.
About the Executive Director, Pastor Edward Qaser:
"Edward Qaser was born in Sangla Hill, and moved to Lahore with his family. He received his higher education from the government school and college, where he faced discrimination and persecution for his faith, but he never stopped sharing with his class fellows about Jesus Christ and the Truth of His Word.
He graduated from Punjab University, and also completed his M.Div from Western Evangelical Bible College of Australia. He got married to Shakila and was blessed with 3 kids (Paul, Peter, and Sarah ).
His heart is filled with pain because of the lack of humanitarianism and the Word of God for Muslims and non-believers in his native Pakistan. He has been in ministry work since 1998, and has been since preaching to Muslims and Hindus. He is helping in the growth of his father’s vision. He has done many tasks with zeal and zest and still keeps on pulling the poor up from the slums and swamps of poverty and illiteracy. His own perspective is “I want to see Christian community on the heights of literacy and wealth”.
He is the greatest defender & supporter of Dialogue for Interfaith & Harmony and this is the need of this time. He has received many awards from different organizations, including the Government of Pakistan and the Pakistan Navy on his humanitarian efforts and peace dialogue .
“I want to reach millions in our nation, and my foremost ambition in life is to serve Jesus Christ with gladness and to establish His Kingdom until the last breath of my life”. Edward Qaser"
I have been amazed with the love and courage that he and his team have had to fearlessly declare the goodness of God and bring many to salvation in Christ, through doing good and helping others in practical ways, despite the personal dangers and sacrifices--like helping flood victims, or bringing food to the destitute.
Since that time, we have tried to help fund them, as they have brought provisions to people adversely affected by COVID-19. Even one of their team died doing so, and the wife of Pastor Edward Qaser contracted it, but by the grace of God, was completely healed and restored to health.
But now, they have a need that is beyond what we can manage ourselves, so we are hoping that others will be touched by what they are doing and come along side to help.
As you may know, terrorist attacks on churches in Pakistan has been devastating to Christian communities and left many children without parents. Unfortunately, when a Christian orphan seeks asylum in a state-run orphanage, they are often turned away to fend for themselves, to live a life without love or support on the streets.
We believe that every child in this world, either from east or west has a right to good food, safe drinking water, shelter, clothing, health care and an education. It is regrettable that the majority of children in developing countries lack most of the above, if not all. Some go without a meal for days on end, while others live in slums where healthcare is unheard of, hence exposing them to a lot of health hazards. No person, let alone a child, should be forced to live in these conditions.
The Pakistani child is no exception from the above cases, especially with:
2015 Bomb Blast in Churches and Gulshan Iqbal Park is the worst time for Christian in Lahore. More than 200 children lost their parents. Many lost a single parent, and many women became widows . Evangelical Gospel Mission of Pakistan is already helping in their education with scholarships.
There has been a lot of terrorism since 2001, which left thousands of children orphaned and vulnerable after their parents and relatives were killed.
High levels of poverty create more orphans, as well, with nearly 95.2 million people still earning less than one dollar a day . This has resulted in high numbers of:
Malnutrition
Illiteracy
Street families
Drug and alcohol abuse
Teenage pregnancy
Child abuse, exploitation, neglect and abandonment
And, early death from preventable diseases, such as malaria, cholera, TB, typhoid and measles. The average life expectancy in Pakistan is only 51 years old .
But, there is help.
Bright Hope Home (BHH) was started as a dream of Pastor Edward Qaser. In 2015, terrorists attacked churches in Youhanabad and Gulshan Iqbal Park. Many kids lost their loved ones. It was a very difficult time for all of them, as you can imagine, when they saw their brothers and sisters in such suffering after the incidents of Youhanabad.
Pastor Qaser dreamed of providing these children with a loving home, an education and some much needed medical care. They started a small orphanage in Hamza Town with 10 kids from Youhanabad and Lahore.
This is what they hope to accomplish with our help:
"Mission and Policy Statement for Bright Hope Home

Aims and Objectives
To provide a Christian environment where they grow spiritually and physically .
Provide love, food, shelter, clothing, education, safe drinking water, medical care and career opportunities to orphan children
A childhood that they never experienced and help them to become useful members of society
To make available a secure place where orphan Children can play and enjoy their childhood
To provide basic education to orphan children and Bright Future
To provide basic facilities and their needs
To select and prepare for a vocation in order to live on their own legs
Improve access to education for underprivileged children, by creating a sponsorship program.
Help children who are not academically inclined to acquire technical skills, which will allow them to support themselves in the future.
The Home
Right Now , we have small room where 10 kids and their caretaker ( Mama ) living .we are requesting to you for a house with 4 rooms , so girls and boys as well mama sleep separately .Our partner churches in Punjab province , request to adjust 10 more kids in new building . They all are living with relatives and their future not secure
there .
The Children
All 10 kids from Lahore and nearby areas , they lost their parents in different accidents. Other 10 kids from Faisalabad , Kasur , Sheikapura and Sialkot. They will attend a nearby public primary school, from grade 1 to 10 , and then attend a college (grade 11 to 12). We will also provide vocational training for those children not academically inclined. Nursery , KG and Prep classes will be held at the home. This home will always be there for the children, even when they leave to pursue their own dreams. They will always be able to call it their home.
We will provide everything a child needs to prepare themselves to gain the most they can out of life. Counselling will be a high priority as these children have been through more hardship then most of us can imagine.
Medical Care
The children will attend a nearby medical clinic or hospital when they fall ill. There will be a small medical clinic on site. All staff working at BHH will be trained in Senior First Aid so minor injuries and illnesses can be treated at home. In time BHH would like to extend their clinic to the surrounding community.
Qualified Staff
All staff working for BHH will be qualified, caring and professionals. Additional training will be provided to our staff including, sensitivity training, cultural diversity awareness, viral Diseases awareness and prevention, emergency and safety procedures and hygiene awareness. This will provide them with skills to teach, communicate and build relationships with the children as well as the volunteers within their placement.
Volunteer Placement
A volunteer placement program will be established once the home is up and running. The program will allow persons from our community to experience BHH . Volunteers will stay at the children’s home, but have their own area in the community centre. They will be involved with the day to day running of one of the homes, helping the house mum with household chores, Bible study , spiritual growth programs , Sunday school , bible vacations schools ,singing , music classes , preparing the children for school, teaching , educating, counselling, playing and of course provide some much needed love and care. Simply being there for the children is one of the best things you can offer, as it brings the biggest smile to their little faces.
There will be an opportunity for the volunteers to see the beauty that BHH has to offer. Having a well-rounded approach to volunteering in Pakistan will enhance the quality of the lives that participate on the program and the children.
Any volunteer wishing to be placed at BHH will undergo an application process before placement will be approved. Volunteers will also be asked to support / donate to BHH, which will provide them with housing, meals, cultural sensitivity and diversity training. A caretaker will ease them through their time spent in BHH.
