Build the Bob Stovall Memorial Fund

Donation protected
With a heavy heart, I ask for your help.  One of our dearest friends and BBQ Brother Bob Stovall, passed suddenly Friday night with no insurance, no house, no reserves, no cash.  For the hundreds and hundreds who knew Bob, know that he had a HUGE HEART of GOLD and Bob would help anyone who needed help - for anything.  Now, his wife needs our help.

Our community and BBQ family have suffered a sincere loss. Bob Stovall touched hundreds and hundreds as a Husband, Brother to all, Kentucky Ambassador, Volunteer Extraordinaire and Barbecue Lover. His famous line was, ‘I never met a rib I didn’t like’.

As you can imagine, his wife Maureen is grieving right now and with no reserves or life insurance, the last thing we want her to worry about is finances. Funeral expenses are only the beginning for Maureen, his wife of 35 yrs.  Bob was taken suddenly and way too soon.
Bob was super smart - and super generous of his time.
Bob ran a webmaster business - and would spend endless hours on the phone with dozens and dozens - selflessly helping people work out their web, IT, email problems - mostly all for free.  That’s the kind of guy Bob was.

Bob was a Volunteer, Board member and Founder of the Kentucky State BBQ Festival which, as of this year has donated over $135,000 to Heart of KY United Way.  That’s the kind of guy Bob was.

Here is a video of Bob being honored for being on theboard of the ONLY event that gives to Heart of Kentucky United Way.  He gave so much to so many, now it is time we reach out to help Maureen in her time of need - which is now.

Without life insurance or reserves - this will be a significantly difficult time for her - her income will essentially be cut in half — that ripples beyond just end of life costs.

I thought that we as a Bar-b-q family, a Kentucky Ambassador community, a Volunteer community, we can help by taking the financial burden of funeral expenses off of Bob’s wife.

We want to help her give Bob a humble and honorable service and a memorial Bob deserves - and help her transition into a new world for her.

Any donations will be deeply appreciated towards overall end of life expenses. Thank you in advance from the bottom of our hearts.
Any additional money raised will help Maureen through this difficult time so she can live without the constant fear of bills, money, etc.

If you would like to provide immediate financial assistance to his family, please consider a ‘help’ to build this fund now.

100% of proceeds of this fundraiser will go directly to Bob’s wife to help ease her worries with this new chapter that she will walk alone.

We do this with permission from Bob’s family.
