Build Squirrel Rehabilitation Boxes
Donation protected
Hello, I'm Cameron Bailey from Boy Scout Troop 265. I am currently working on my Eagle Scout project and have chosen to help the Wildlife Conservation Center at Sippo Lake. The facility assists in rehabilitating a number of different species native to North East Ohio. One resource they are currently in need of is squirrel boxes for the rehabilitation and relocation of injured squirrels. The center has a difficult time keeping these boxes in stock, especially during breeding and storm seasons. With current lumber and building supply prices each box will cost approximately $30 to build, any remaining funds will be donated directly to the Wildlife Conservation Center to assist with the rehabilitation of other animals. The center regularly goes through 25-50 boxes a year and the boxes see a fair amount of wear from both the elements and the squirrels themselves.
