Build the Hardey Family a Fence
My friend Kari did a bold thing: she asked me if I could help watch five of her soon seven kids while she went to the doctor for a check up on the baby that's due the last week of April. I said yes and was excited to see if I had the mom-skills to do eights kids (her 5 + my 3).
Kari and her husband JP are fantastic parents. The kids were a delight; you can tell they're well-raised. And they're such good influences on my kids.
But before she left Kari said to me, "Hey—fyi I don't let the kids out in the backyard unsupervised because there's no fence."
They outgrew their house some time ago so I was struck by her statement. "No fence?!" I thought to myself. That MUST be fixed. I wouldn't last a week with seven kids and no backyard to shoo them out to unsupervised while I take my sanity breaks.
This GoFundMe campaign is an effort to build this worthy, holy family a safe fence so Kari and JP can have some peace of mind knowing that their adorable children won't wander into the street and get hit or kidnapped. They're a truly wonderful family, but like most of us, $2500 isn't easy to come by for them.
I already raised $1,000 from a couple especially generous friends. And last weekend five of us did the back-breaking work of clearing out all the brush, bushes and small trees from the property line. The fence company came back and we are short $1,500. That money MUST be raised in full before we begin building this glorious, life-saving fence.
Please help! Even $10 adds up to what we need.
The baby is due to come the last week of April. It would be so wonderful if this fence could be finished in time for her arrival.
Thank you!! We are so grateful to you for contributing.
