I was in jail for seven weeks. I told them at intake I was in AFib. I told the nurses. No one listened. The day before I was released, a nurse finally ran an EKG—and confirmed what I'd been saying all along. I was in AFib, medically neglected the entire time.
That experience clarified something for me: People fall through the cracks when no one is watching. When systems are broken. When no one advocates for the person in front of them.
I'm building The Peace Place so fewer people fall through.
Right now, I'm homeless. I work part‑time at Lowe's to keep a little money coming in. I code Android apps on my phone using Termux because my Chromebook is in storage and I don't have a laptop. I'm not asking for pity. I'm asking for partnership.
The Peace Place is a faith‑based
inistry that doesn't force faith. We're building:
• Peace Shield – On‑device scam protection that never shares your data—not even with me. A working prototype exists; the full app is being finalized now.
• Chosen Peace – A dating app where gaslighting, harassment, and scams are blocked by AI that lives on your phone.
• Missing Peace Intended – AI video generator with deep
ke prevention. Invite‑only during early development.
• Perkin' Peace Coffee – A future physical space where anyone without a home—and survivors of abuse—can get free coffee and snacks. Employees earn a thriving wage, many hired from shelters.
• JailBird's Restaurant – Smoked meats and comfort food—named after my o
unjust confinement—whose profits will fund the shelters.
• Eagle's Nest Shelter – Safe housing for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
• Refuge Wing – A separate, secure shelter wing for survivors of mental or physical abuse.
Every app I'm building protects the user first. The AI companion learns your patterns, remembers your schedule, and can even set your alarm if you forget—but it never shares your data with me or anyone else. Privacy is non‑negotiable. Security is non‑negotiable.
Why I Need Your Help
I can't do this
one. The first app (Peace Shield) is almost ready for beta, but I need:
• A basic laptop to code more efficiently and update the apps regularly (my Chromebook is inacc
sible right now).
• Funding for Google Play Developer fees and domain costs.
• Seed money to begin
e legal and licensing work for the
hysical spaces.
Every dollar moves us closer to opening doors—both digital and physical.
What You Get
This isn't a transaction. But if you donate:
• You'll get my profound gratitude and regular updates on the build.
• You'll know you helped create a sanctuary that protects thousands of people from scams, abuse, and loneliness.
• You'll be part of a ministry that feeds the hungry first and preaches second. Usually, the meal does the preaching for us.
I Believe Hope Has a Name
I believe God is real. But you don't have to believe that to sit at our table, use our apps, or sleep in our shelter. Everyone who brings kindness through our doors belongs here. No exceptions.
If you can't donate, please share this campaign. Every share is a brick in the foundation.
Thank you for seeing me. Thank you for believing that even from broken ground, sanctuary can grow.
