On October 7th, 2023, an unspeakable terror attack shook the core of Israel and good people worldwide, leading to Daniel (45) and Emilia (5) being held hostage for 48 harrowing days. During this time, they faced horrors that are beyond words. The tragedy decimated their home, took away beloved members of their close-knit family and community through murder or kidnapping, with many still in captivity.

Finally freed on November 24th, 2023, Daniel and Emilia now face the long, challenging journey of healing from the deep-seated trauma that will, unfortunately, be a part of their lives forever.

Every dollar raised will provide a lifeline of mental and physical support—covering housing, nourishment, clothing, and other essential needs—in the days, months, and years to come as they strive to regain a semblance of normalcy.

About Daniel and Emilia

Daniel cherishes life and adores her young daughter, Emilia, who has a passion for solving puzzles. They were welcomed as guests by the Cunio Family, where Sharon Cunio is Daniel's sister. Sadly, Emilia's uncles, aunts, and cousins remain in captivity.
