Build-A-Bag Campaign

In 2019, 26% of parents in Pittsburgh lacked secure employment. 27% of children lived in households with high housing cost burdens, and 17% of children lived in poverty. 

We at the Dream Start Foundation know that these numbers are only rising due to many external factors including COVID-19 and more. That said, we set out to lighten the burden on children and families by providing backpacks full of school supplies to students, as well as other giveaways throughout the year.

 

Please join us in supporting our Pittsburgh community by participating in our Build-A-Bag campaign. One bag filled with school supplies (pencils, notebook, folders, water bottle) costs the Dream Start Foundation less than $20. We work directly with bulk suppliers and sponsors to make the most of your donation! Sponsoring just one bag can provide a student with the opportunity to start their school year off prepared for success!

 

The Dream Start Foundation is dedicated to helping children in need. Our team is made up of passionate Pittsburghers who value the education and well-being of our city's youth. We are focused on doing everything we can to provide them with the tools necessary for success.
