Build a Playground for Orphans

Hello,

My name is Johnny Midtlyng, and I'm currently a Life Scout with Boy Scout Troop 121 in Granite Bay, California. I'm planning my Eagle Scout Project for July 2024. I will be building a commercial play structure for the orphaned children of the Emiliani Project in Medellin, Colombia. This structure will provide an area for the children to gather outside, play, and let the kids be kids.

The goal of the Emiliani Project is to rescue, house, educate, care for, and provide love for orphaned and abandoned children. They are building a home to provide for 160 children and save them from starvation, homelessness, drugs, violence, and prostitution (set to open in July 2023).

Your donation will help pay for the building materials I will use to make the structure. I will need to level the area for the playground, purchase the materials, install fencing, and add a soft ground cover. Depending on the amount I'm able to fundraise, I will build a smaller or larger play area. If I'm able to collect more than $60,000, the proceeds will be donated to the Emiliani Project. I will post photos of my finished project on this website so that you can see how your funds were used. After my building project, I will invite the children of the orphanage to use the structure and have a party for them.
