Building a Basketball Court in Africa

Donation protected
Hi there! I'm excited to announce the fundraising campaign for the construction of a multi-sport concreted area at Zengea Primary School in Harare, Zimbabwe. The goal is to provide the students with a concreted area with netball and basketball rings where they can develop their physical fitness and enjoy their sports without the ball flying away when it hits a bump or hole.

The area will be designed to accommodate a variety of sports, including basketball, netball, and soccer. The fundraiser will cover all materials for the build and the school is covering the labour (unless of course we can raise more!). Please consider donating and helping the Zimbabwean kids of Zenega Primary School have an area to work on key life skills like teamwork, sportsmanship and leadership without even realising. Every little bit counts and I greatly appreciate your generosity and support! ☺️

A note from the school: "The children are the future of Zimbabwe and we wish to give them the opportunity to learn and play sports like other children".

More information about the school:
Zengea primary school was built in 1983 on Aldington Farm situated south of the capital of Harare. The school is supported by the government by paying the teacher's salaries. A small amount of it is given towards stationery and textbooks. They currently have 295 pupils attending the school with 12 teachers and a headmaster. They have two ECD (Early child development) classes and 7 classes from grades 1-7.

Back Story:
My partner and I recently took a trip to Zimbabwe in Africa and whilst we were there we visited Zengea Primary School in Harare. We had SO much fun playing with the kids after school we soon realised they were playing netball and basketball in essentially a very bumpy paddock. Of course, the kids don't mind and are just so thankful for their rusty soccer goals and netball posts but I just know this opportunity will make the world of difference for them.
