Help us building a pre-school for Maasai Children
Donation protected
“ .” -
Did you know that Maasai community has one of the highest illiteracy and lowest school enrollment rates in East Africa?
The fact that there are not enough schools prevents Maasai children from getting educated. We believe we can help working towards a world in which every child has the opportunity to grow and learn in a positive environment.
.
You can be a part of this beautiful project by supporting the construction of the Hisia Nzuri Nursery School. Most children who get the chance to go to school start primary school without any previous knowlegde, which often results in difficulties to follow the lessons. Every donation goes directly to this project.
"Hisia Nzuri" means "Good Feeling" in Swahili. This is what the school will be all about, a safe space for children to receive a strong foundation. It's very common for teachers to use corporal punishment to discipline the children, which worsens the situation because they get scared to go to school. The Tanzanian law allows teachers to beat children three times in order for them to listen.
