Building African American Males (BAAM)
Donation protected
Building African American Males (BAAM) is a not-for-profit organization started to enrich the lives of minority males started by Carlton Goode, Geno Johnson, Jermaine Simmons, and Chris Young. The mission of the BAAM program is to help minority male students as they seek to recognize and improve their talents and leadership qualities and reach their full academic potential through positive reinforcement.
One of the things that we see now is the baggy pants hanging off the buttocks, adding to the negative stereotypes of our young men. We have also noticed that our young African American Males need more social and soft skills, such as dining etiquette, proper introductions, and the drive to succeed.
This is where we need your help.
Please join us in offering our young men tools to counter the accepted norm and stereotypes. We ask you to donate anything from $5.00 to $100.00 to this cause.
Your charitable donation will help facilitate planned class events, end-of-year formal dining and etiquette dinner, purchase shoe polish and supplies, and purchase student T-shirts and ties and bow ties. The ties and bowties class is always a fun bonding moment where we teach the young man about proper grooming with hands-on coaching. With your help, BAAM will continue similar efforts throughout the year by uplifting, mentoring, and giving our young males invaluable tools to succeed.
