Building cat sanctuary in Adam's County
Donation protected
Well hello there.
My name is Tomasina and I rescue cats here in Adam's County Washington. We have virtually zero funding here in this county & a very high volume of poor, innocent cats that get dumped...daily.
When we moved here a few years back, our hearts broke at the homeless cat population. Sick, starving, in either very hot or very cold weather. We quickly realized, there is no funding, no support and no where to turn. So we became those things and opened our home to many cats that needed help.
But, as I say, cats multiply. Where you see one, there is always more. And each intake costs, minimum $350 just to get shots, basic vet care, spat neuter etc. Many cats are on deaths door when they finally find there way to us.
We are bursting. Bursting at the seams, with no end in sight. It's incredibly heart breaking and difficult.
This spring we have to expand. We are full. We can't take anymore. We need adopters and space and vet care, desperately. We do this on donations and SSI. But it has to be done. Someone has to step up. If not, the results devastating.
So, this year, in just a few months we hope to raise $3500 to expand an outdoor catio adding an additional 600 Sq ft of cat space. This will give our cats a safe outdoor area they can go to to soak up the sun, play and get a breath of fresh air. It will also give us some of our house back and make life for us and the cats much better.
We can't do it without help. And we are begging you for help. We will keep helping, keep caring for, keep feeding and loving and finding homes for these poor creatures, but financially that's quite difficult, so we ask if anyone can help with $5, $10 anything we vow to put that all back into this issue. Every single dime and than some goes to helping the local strays.
We appreciate all the help. More than I could ever express. We couldn't do it without support.
