High School Student Builds Tiny Home
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Sierra Stern, and I’m a student at Silver Creek High School. Not too interesting until you hear about my Senior Project. It’s my last year in this school and this valley, and to celebrate all of my previously ambitious projects, I’ve come up with my most ambitious project yet. I’m sure you’ve heard of the Tiny Home Movement, and if you haven’t, here’s a link to the wikipedia page. This year I’ve decided to build one of those tiny houses of my very own from the ground (or from the double axle trailer) up. The project involves several steps, including but not limited to fundraising, architectural design, reviewing local zoning codes, and even getting “bags on” to help build the house myself. It seems like an impossible thing for such a young student to do, but with a stroke of good luck, I’ve acquired a small team of brave hearted professionals that are more than excited to help me achieve this dream. Together with Jolyon Sawrey of Vital Ink Architecture, Levi Sali of LW Builders, and a handful of courage, we’re pushing forward to new heights of interactive education. We’d all like to ask you to join us on our adventure into affordable and alternative living. If you feel compelled to, please donate to my cause. Every donation pushes us a step forward to a better education, house and home!
