Building Muscles for Bubba

My name is Stuart Hui. My wife, Rachel and I have 4 amazing children: Jaden, Faith, Brooklyn and Taylor.

At the age of 6, we discovered that our son, Jaden was a child of a genetic disorder that is a progressive muscular wasting condition. Unfortunately, there is currently no cure and there are only a few options to attempt to slow the progressions of the disorder.

Jaden has been and is under the caring supervision of the medical staff from Lurie Children's, Cincinnati Children's and University of Iowa Children's hospitals. Jaden presents with a unique genetic mutation for which they are currently very limited options.

Since this is not an area of my expertise, I have been searching and researching possibilities "outside the box" for our son. Recently I had the opportunity to speak with the Founder and CEO of Throne Biotechnologies (https://thronebio.com/), Yong Zhao, MD, PhD. He provided hope and a possibility of using their patented technology of "Stem Cell Educator Technology" as a possible way to:

1) anti inflammatory benefits from the therapy so as to reduce the amount of oral immunosuppressive medication

2) mitochondrial reprogramming or stem cell-released exosomes which may potentially perform genetic or epigenetic modulations

Our next steps are:

1) to provide funding for the 1st round of therapy and treatment of the Stem Cell Educator Therapy,

2) apply for Right - To - Try,

3) develop a plan for the treatment as Jaden would be the first recipient of his condition.
