Building Smiles of Hope Academy Uganda for Orphaned Children

I hold a deep conviction that every child, no matter where they are in the world, deserves more than mere existence; they deserve the opportunity to thrive. They deserve to learn, to read stories that ignite their imaginations, to grow in an environment filled with love and compassion, to enjoy nourishing meals, and to drink clean water that sustains both body and spirit. This belief drives me relentlessly, with a heart overflowing with love and compassion, towards a singular goal: to create a haven of hope for orphaned children in Uganda.

I am compassionately driven to create Smiles of Hope Academy, a sanctuary where these precious children cannot only learn and grow but also laugh freely, thrive, and dream of a future beyond their current circumstances. It's a vision rooted in breaking the cycle of poverty and disadvantage that has held too many back for too long.

The children I've had the privilege to meet, even if only through the pixels of a screen, have left an indelible mark on my soul. Our virtual meetings are filled with songs of hope and stories that illuminate the possibilities of tomorrow. Despite the challenges they face, their hearts overflow with gratitude and love. They've woven themselves into the fabric of my heart, compelling me to action.

For as long as I draw breath, I am committed to doing more than just talking about change—I am driven to act. With every beat of my heart, I'm compelled to take steps, large and small, towards realizing their dreams. Their dreams have become intertwined with my purpose, propelling me forward with unwavering determination.

This is not a big organization. There is a mom and her son doing their best to support these children. No overhead costs. Every dollar goes directly to supporting the children.

When I said I was started a fundraiser to see what we could do - this is what they said back to me - "I shared the good news with all the people. We're so sooo thankful for your efforts, and we believe God is going to do greater work for us and the children here. Love you all so much, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love and care for us all, it means more than what we can express with words."
