Building The SMS-South Walker Playground

Hi everyone! We’re fundraising for the Shauna May Seneca School / South Walker playground located in southeast Edmonton. Shauna May Seneca School was established in 2017, our situation was unique where due to construction delays the school building was not ready for the new school year and we had to operate as a school within another school for the first half of the year. Due to these constraints we were unable to start fundraising to build a playground for our school and the community until the following year. Playgrounds are very high budget projects and having another school within the community any grant monies received had to be shared. The parents groups of SMS School have been working very hard to raise and secure funds for this project over the last few years. We’ve arrived at our final push for fundraising and are in a time crunch. The playground project is ready to go ahead provided we can make up the shortfall in funds of $20000 by March 12, 2021. With approximately 800 students attending our school and many more children within the Walker/Aurora community a playground is greatly needed. We’re asking for any help you can provide to fill this financial shortfall and give our children the gift of play and activity. No donation is too big or small and every dollar counts!
