FINAL UPDATE: We are ready to relaunch BuildUp! Our main task now is to keep the program in Armenia free for Armenian citizens.
Please check the BuildUp website update - www.buildup.am. We need to fundraise an additional $11,000 to keep BuildUp in Armenia for a fee. Only the central administration and ads/pr run locally to attract people (check the updated budget below). Due to the challenging financial situation in the Armenian tech sector, we unfortunately lost support from the community.
We will adapt our program to the new reality and restart it.
Here is our adjusted model:
- Our program aims to target tech specialists who are at a junior-mid level (no experience limitations) and may not have strong English skills. We provide intensive English learning during the program's first three months and continue English classes throughout the program to ensure their success.
- We are planning to rehire experienced tutors of Armenian descent from top corporations across the globe.
- We are going to cut program numbers to 5 only: Product Management, Product Design, Digital Marketing, Front-End and Back-End development.
- Make the duration of the program seven months (3+4).
- Ultimately, we will request that participants contribute 50% of the program fees while the community will fund the remaining amount.
Updated Budget:
1. Redesign the website (draft) & AI agent - DONE
2. Rebuild the website Front-end & Back-end - DONE
3. TECH for Education AI Agent in Chrome Extension - DONE
5. Rehire the BuildUp admins to manage Armenian students - $9000
6. Ads and social media on FB/LinkedIn for ONLY Armenia - $2000
