Support Our 5th Annual Bulgarian Festival!

Donation protected
"Holy Trinity" Bulgarian Eastern Orthodox Church will host its 5th Annual Bulgarian Festival on Saturday, September 28th, 2024 from 12PM-7PM. The Festival will be held at "Holy Trinity" Bulgarian Eastern Orthodox Church and its surrounding property.

Purpose: A successful festival will provide essential funding to benefit the historic "Holy Trinity" Bulgarian Church, which was established in 1907, making it the first and oldest Bulgarian Eastern Orthodox Church established outside of Bulgaria. Festival proceeds will be crucial in keeping the Church doors open and ensuring the continued preservation of this remarkable cultural landmark.

We hope you will donate to show your support for this effort and assist us in covering the many expenses associated with hosting this festival, as well as ensure the success and growth of our festival for years to come. Donations will help pay for ingredients for the many authentic Bulgarian dishes, equipment and supplies (spit/roaster, decorations, tableware, etc.), licensing/permit fees, inflatable rentals, and compensation for live entertainment, among other expenses.

Festival Background: Our first four Festivals were met with a very enthusiastic and encouraging response and were even covered in the media, including being mentioned by food writer Daniel Neman in the St. Louis Post Dispatch's Go! Magazine and being covered in the news by KSDK with interviews and footage recorded on-site.

Last year's BulFest was the most successful to-date, and we are working hard to make our 5th Annual Bulgarian Festival an even greater success! Our ultimate goal is to make this into an annual tradition and expand the festival into a multi-day event that attracts many attendees from the Greater St. Louis Area and well beyond. With your help, we can ensure that our 5th Annual Bulgarian Festival reaches new heights!

We are proud to share our rich heritage with the community! The festival will feature a variety of authentic Bulgarian dishes for sale, as well as live music by the popular Bulgarian folk ensemble "Bulgarika," performances by folk dance groups, and many opportunities for attendees to learn the dances themselves. There will also be inflatables, games and prizes, and other activities for children of all ages.

Admission and parking for the Bulgarian Festival is free. With authentic food, music, and dancing, as well as games and activities for all age groups, there will be hours of fun for everyone.

Any and all donor support will be incredibly important for making our 5th Annual Bulgarian Festival a success! All donations are tax-deductible. Donations of any amount are encouraged and highly appreciated. Donors who give $25 or more will also receive recognition (as explained on the website, www.bulfest.org) according to the following Sponsorship Levels: Friend ($25-$99), Patron ($100-$299), and Benefactor ($300 or greater).

We hope that you will support the success of our 5th Annual Bulgarian Festival, as well as its growth in future years, and ensure the longevity of our historic "Holy Trinity" Church for generations to come!
