Bull City Riders Durham NC Documentary Project

Hi, my name is Freeman Long. I am a photographer/filmmaker. My work includes documentaries, fashion and editorial images. I am currently working on a photo and film documentary on the Bull City Riders motorcycle club of Durham, NC. Founded in 1977, BCR is the oldest charted Black motorcycle club in North Carolina. In addition to epic adventures on two wheels, the club has a rich history of community service. Six of the founding members still survive. The goal of this documentary is to tell their story in pictures and on film in their own words.
This project will tell the story in their own words. The photographs and film will show the lifelong friendship between the members. Black men have shared their lives and made lasting and impactful contributions to their families, communities, city, state and country.
The funds raised will be used for the following: Photographs to be displayed locally and state-wide, and a documentary film to be used as a learning tool that will be screened at local and statewide venues.
