Bunche Preparatory Academy - MS Chess Team Champs

Hi, My name is Dr. Chalena Beasley and I am the proud principal at Bunche Preparatory Academy in Detroit, Michigan. I am excited to share that our middle school Chess team won FIRST place not only in our district, but also in the larger Metro Detroit Scholastic Chess League!

With that win, the Chess team is off to Atlanta May 8-13th for the National Chess Championship, and while transportation and lodging are covered, we still need monetary support. This trip will be a first for several of our scholars and we want to make sure each participant's needs are completely covered

OUR NEEDS:

-Provide meals ( 3 a day for 6 days plus snacks-remember these are middle schoolers! )

-We'd like to get each chess team member (7) a Bunche Prep Academy Blazer for cohesion and uniformity

-Duffle bags- so that every scholar is assured to have a decent, durable piece of luggage.

Our goal is to raise at least $5000 so that our team has an unforgettable trip to the National Chess Championship. Our young people are most deserving of an opportunity to get a glimpse of what their future could hold. Thank you for being a part of something phenomenal! No amount too small, we appreciate it all.
