Bunclody AFC Floodlight Astroturf Development

We as a club are trying to undertake the biggest project we will have undertaken since the original development back in early 2000’s. We are trying to develop a Full Size Floodlight All Weather pitch.
This project will cost in the region of €450,000. We have received €287,000 from the Sports Capital Grant. We are getting closer and have some other fundraisers including our weekly bingo that will help us get ever closer to starting and completing the project.
We have set up this fundraiser which will entail contributors getting their name on a commemorative plaque unveiled at the grand opening of the Astro Pitch. What we are offering is 400 names at €50 each. This will raise us €20,000 and help us further in our way to making our dream come through.
Bunclody AFC has always being centred around our community. Without the people of Bunclody and surrounding areas there wouldn’t be a Bunclody AFC. Along with providing a safe, encouraging and team environment for young people from 4 years of age, to allow them to play and enjoy soccer, we have in recent years became more of a community centre with Dominic, Alison, Tracey along with our bingo having it as their base for their respective classes. We always strive to achieve what’s best for our community and try make Bunclody thee place to be and live.
We are now asking for your help in getting this Astroturf complete. Not only will it provide a base where all our teams can play, train and compete it will also bring other clubs, counties and competitions into the town to further enhance Bunclody’s economy.
We are ever more aware of the ongoing inflationary pressures our families and community are under and fully respect not everyone can afford €50’ to get your name on the commemorative plaque, however even €1 will help us on our way and we greatly appreciate your giving in these difficult times.
As always thank you for your support without you, we wouldn’t be the club we are. We keep striving to achieve, striving to improve and give our young people the best facilities not only in county Wexford but in the country.
