Bunny’s Aqua Therapy Expenses

Hi, I’m Denise, and I am Bunny’s foster mom for life. Bunny was born in Kaboul, with bowed front legs from rickets caused from malnutrition. On top of that, he was stoned repeatedly by children to the point he could not walk. He had taken refuge behind a dumpster for safety, laying on cold concrete to protect himself, but this also created the arthritis equivalent of a senior dog he suffers with today, yet he is under 4 years old.

Thankfully, Bunny was rescued by K.S.A.R in 2021, and I met him when he came to Vancouver, Canada, with the Mission Possible Rescue in February, 2022 where I became one of his handlers at the shelter. He had severe behavioural and physical issues which made him unadoptable for the average family, so Bunny came home with me to be fostered for life.

Bunny is flourishing in our care with his 3 K9 siblings, his behavioural issues have been modified and he is a happy, affectionate, goofy boy. But he still needs your help…

Because Bunny has severe skeletal issues (arthritis of a senior dog, bowed front legs, and hip dysplasia) he requires regular physio therapy and stretches which he does with me at home, but he also needs underwater therapy, alternating between underwater treadmill and swimming. He attends AquaPaws Canine Wellness Centre for this and the benefits are immeasurable which will help prevent him from needing surgery in his senior years. This fundraiser is for Bunny’s under water physio therapy/medical expenses.

While his X-rays indicate that Bunny should not be able to even walk, his determination and love for life truly makes him a “Miracle Dog”. He runs, plays, jumps, and clearly did not get the memo he is crippled. His ongoing physical therapy and underwater therapy are absolutely key to his physical and even emotional, well being.
