Burgundy or Bust

Everyone has that pipe dream of the one thing that they thought about doing because it fit them better than any other thing that they had ever done before and they wanted it more than any other thing that they had tried to fit into at any point in their lives.  This is my thing.  Since I was 15 and first introduced to the French language and culture, I knew I was in trouble.  Over the years that I spent studying the language, culture, history, art and architecture during high school and college, I knew that I loved the French culture more than I could explain.  Then in 2010 when I found myself unexpectedly inserted into the wine world, it suddenly all made sense.  Thanks to Veritas Wine Room and Favorite Brands, I have a better sense of who I am and what I love than I ever did in corporate America.  I love wine and the opportunity to educate people that I care for about the amazing wineries/products that I have been introduced to over the years.  I have a passion to continue spreading the "good word" to my friends and family, and to that end spend a year searching for the best program that I can find which will put me in a position to do exactly what I love. This search has lead me to the Viti in Beaune and their International Wine Trade courses.  Through these courses, I will be able to more solidly understand the wines and the region that I have grown to love and share them in a structured format that allows me to promote knowledge of and increase awareness for smaller, boutique wineries that are doing amazing things in the wine world.  I hate asking for help, and I am going to find a way to do this one way or another, but if over the years I have ever brought you a bottle that made you smile or educated you on a wine or producer that you now love and you want to help support me in my dream to excel in this field, I would appreciate beyond words anything that you would donate to this cause.  It takes a village, and with the love and support of my friends and family, I am going to make this dream happen!!  Classes start March 16 in Beaune, France.  I would love to see each and every one of you over the next 11 months!!
