Burial and Memorial Fund for Tom Tolliver
Donation protected
Dear friends and family, we are writing to let you know about the loss of Tom Tolliver on December 20, 2021. I am helping my sister, and Tom's only daughter Deirdre with this fundraiser.
A message from De: Everyone seems to love this picture of my dad, I’ve seen it all my life along with other pics of him usually with a guitar or a beer in his hand. They used to make jokes saying I was born into a band practice in the living room , and how my dad thought he was having a boy up until I was born and he was shocked I was a fat pink baby girl with a weird head. I was always hearing stories about how he got shot 6 times and survived, he fell off a 4th story balcony during a fight and survived. So many stories of him protecting his friends and being this fierce , strong fighter who doesn’t take nothin from no one. He got bit by a rattle snake while protecting his friends dog. In the ICU When his arm was swelling up to his Heart we were sure this was it… until he cracked a joke about the rattlesnake being in his backpack on the floor next to his bed. Must’ve been that Irish blood .. If he was going down he was going to take the snake with him. He was the same person who taught me to be kind to everyone I met. Never to treat anyone different if they looked or acted different or wasn’t the most popular person or kid in the room. That’s who you go stand with … The person who feels like an outcast. I know it’s because his black painted finger nails and wild jewelry and his crazy ripped jeans and fresh cuts and scrapes from mountain biking , he knew he often times looked like the outcast. He wasn’t just a “normal” guy , But if you just took a minute to get to know him you would see a brilliant musician who carried around unspeakable pain, expressed in the only ways he knew how. Making people laugh was the biggest one. All he ever wanted in life was to be a rockstar and live out his dream of being a musician. In all the ups and downs that our life held , I know he loved me . In the best way that he could .
