On Monday February 6, Layla had an abnormal head measurement at her 4 month check up and was sent to get an emergency head CT. The scan came back abnormal along with an abnormal chest X-ray. We were then sent to another hospital for further investigation and an MRI. Layla ended up having an abnormal reaction to the sedation medicine given for the MRI causing her body to become acidotic and causing her heart to go into heart failure. We were life flighted to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT where she underwent many test and screenings to figure out the diagnosis and a plan to help her. Unfortunately her heart could no longer sustain her and she pasted away early in the morning on February 15. We would like to bury Layla with her brother, Ayden, so that they can be together. We have been quoted about $6500 all together in burial costs and for her to be transported back home from Utah. All donations will go to burial cost and any other cost that we get during this time.
