Burnage Little Free Library Trail
Donation protected
I started a little free library in Burnage very recently and it has been a huge success. Many people have taken books and brought books to swap. With local libraries being closed or on short hours people are looking for more reading material and as finances are stretched buying books isn't always an option. It's also a more environmentally conscious option.
At the moment we can only open when we have sunny weather. We have been lucky so far but we need to obtain permanent home for the books.
I need to arrange better storage at home i.e. a shed, as the books are taking over the house at the moment.
Future plans are to make a trail of libraries around Burnage and the local area to bring books to even more people.
I would also like to be able to purchase some books from LGTBQ, BAME and feminist authors to ensure we can all read as widely as possible. These books would be distributed throughout the Local library network.
It would be great to raise funds to enable the vision become reality and I thank all in advance who donate.
