Burncoat Spirit Program: Igniting Passion, Uniting Voices

Your donation will help our students travel and compete in the Nationals on February 2-4, 2025. Burncoat is the only high school in the Northeast that is competing for a title.

The Burncoat High School Spirit Team (BHS) which includes the Burncoat Dance Team and the Burncoat Pep Band, has come together seeking your donations to help raise funds that will make it possible for them to participate in the Universal Dance Association (UDA), National High School Dance Team Championships (NDTC) in Orlando, Florida, on February 2—4, 2024. They have raised over $10,000 to date and need your help to get them to their goal.

Burncoat Spirit is a dynamic high school dance & music program that blazes a trail of opportunity and joy. A beacon within the Worcester Public Schools and based at Burncoat High School, Burncoat Spirit was born from a bold vision: to empower students through the electrifying fusion of dance and music, fostering a vibrant school culture and celebrating the diverse tapestry of our community, which promotes a sense of belonging.

Our ambitions now stretch beyond our familiar bleachers. United in purpose, we are taking Burncoat Spirit to the national stage, aiming to place Worcester Public Schools on the map of excellence. This journey isn't just about competition; it's about amplifying the voices of our students and showcasing the resilience and talent that thrive within our diverse community. Through their unwavering dedication and boundless enthusiasm, our students will demonstrate the power of music and dance to build bridges and ignite a spirit that burns bright far beyond the stage.

Here, athleticism and artistry intertwine to create an electrifying game day experience, where students of all backgrounds, talents, and abilities find their voices. We celebrate the rhythm of the pep band alongside the powerful moves of the dance team, weaving a tapestry of school spirit that pulsates through the stands and into the hearts of every student.
