Help Burnett family pay bills after dads injury.

Hello, I’m Branden. I was the sole provider for my wife, our four kids ; Jaxson(9), Kolbie(5), Xander(2) and Fayden(1), our dog and myself. Unfortunately while I was helping a friend move I ended up ripping my distal bicep tendon. The way it happened only happens in 4-5 cases of every 100,000 bicep tears. Unfortunately for me that meant I had to get surgery and am now going through physical therapy for the next 3-6 months. During which time I’m unable to use my arm at all leaving me unable to work in my profession as a professional mover. I have been working as my own independent company for the last couple of years trying to get my moving business up and running so I don’t qualify for workers comp or disability since my time away from work will be less than one year. Times are rough right now as I’m sure everyone knows and we have also been living in a hotel since January after we lost our house due to the landlord raising the rent high enough to where it was out of or budget range. We have finally been approved for low income apartments but are still awaiting the final paper work and inspection to be done. At this time I’m unable to lift anything with my right arm so I can’t even take care of the two little ones if my wife were to go to work. I’m just hoping that we might be able to get a little help just to get by for the next couple months. In October 20th Kolbie turned 6 and on 10/25 Jaxson will be turning 10. Followed by my birthday on the 29th when I’ll be turning 33. These kids have been such troopers being in and out of different hotels for the last 10 months. I really would love to be able to give them somewhat of a decent birthday. I know gifts don’t mean everything but at that age and being the amazing kids that they have been this year I’d love to be able to get them a good present. They agreed that they wouldn’t mind waiting until after the first to have a birthday party with their friends and family. Our cell phones were recently shut off due to lack of payment. We do receive food stamps and we were approved for $800 in cash assistance. That will help out a lot but as I’m sure you know is far from what it takes a family of 6 living in a hotel to survive on. Due to fire codes most hotels in Eugene, Oregon have a limit of 5 people per room. This rule requires us to have two hotel rooms every where we stay. I’m out of options and don’t know what else to do besides ask for help. This is very unlike me and extremely hard for me to do but I literally have exhausted every other option. Thank you for your time and even if you aren’t able to donate I appreciate you taking the time to read my story and maybe even passing it along to others. Thank you and have an amazing day.
