Burnie Arts Bounce Back
Burnie is known as the City of Makers. On the 3rd of May, Burnie City Council announced a raft of decisions which will severely impact the functioning and profile of our iconic cultural, tourism and heritage venues and events. Some will close. Up to 25 jobs may be lost. The community were not consulted about the planned changes. It is vital that the public have a platform to ensure that their voice is heard and that genuine community engagement takes place during the implementation of the council's plan. The money will be used to place advertisements (press and online) to highlight community feedback and demand accountability from council. Your donation will help!
