Hello Friends and Family, and those I don’t know, my name is Deena. I’m reaching out to the world in honor of my Father, Emilio “Z” Hernandez. We come from a small town and community in Bishop, CA. If you’ve driven to Mammoth, chances are you’ve driven through it, Schat’s Bakery ring a bell? We’re so fortunate to be a part of the Bishop Community.
Z man, Z legend has the biggest heart and has helped many people in need throughout the years, whether it was him seeing you in need, reaching into his pocket and pulling out 20 bucks, no questions asked, or something much bigger and private. Whatever it is he’s Z man of the community, the guy to help in any way he can.
Unfortunately, my Dad’s monthly income, which is also his retirement fund, has been burned to the ground, literally. His rental property that he worked so hard for, that funded his everyday life and those in need around him, no longer exists. He’s been left with debris, unaccounted for fees and bills to acquire the proper cleaning permits and the monumental task of having to purchase a new home for his property. Insurance coverage doesn’t cut it, I’m sure many of you have had experiences alike.
Like many of us, my Dad has worked extremely hard to set himself up to live a comfortable life, not having to worry about cash flow and still being able to help others in need. It pains me to see him getting the short end of the stick, my heart is broken, but as a Hernandez, I’ve been taught to help those in need. So here I am.
Z man, Z legend is now in need and as hard as this is, I’m asking for help. Over the years, the Hernandez Family has experienced great loss, but we never asked for handouts. We know the power of community and the mountains we can move together. I’m asking for anything to help my Dad find peace in his heart and alleviate some stress, anything to help him find a way to rebuild in order to secure his income and retirement plan.
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for taking the time to read about this tragic, life-changing event. We have a long road ahead of us. If you are able, I humbly ask you to reach in your pocket and do what Z would do, help a good man in need.
Thank you for your time and support,
Z and Deena
