Burns Family Support

With a heavy heart, we ask for your help for the Burns family in a time of need. On Friday night, December 8th, 2017, Sean Burns, father of four young children, and husband to our friend Melissa, had a massive stroke/heart attack.
The Burns family has touched the hearts of many people at Hopkinson, Rossmoor, St. Hedwig's, AYSO, The Knights of Columbus and many other communities.
As you can imagine, this is an overwhelming time for the family. They have a lot of support and are getting by hour by hour. We recognize that there are so many people that love this family and want to help. However, at this point, they are asking that all visits, calls, texts, flowers, etc...are kept on hold until a later date. The family is beginning the discussion about a funeral service, but nothing has been confirmed.
It will take some time to sort out the finances, insurance, and accounts, so we are preparing a fund to support funeral costs, family lodging, and other related costs so that Melissa doesn't have to worry about anything. Any unused funds will be deposited into the children's college account.
Remember that this is a marathon, not a sprint. Melissa and the kids will need our support for quite awhile. They have created a wonderful village and they will need it soon and for years to come.
