Burr: A New Musical

Hi! My name is Cris Rabines, and I am the Lead Producer of "Burr," a brand-new musical written by my dear friend and boy genius, Sam Wurdemann. It tells the story of the second half of Aaron Burr's life, and depicts his spiral into madness and infamy. This show began by taking inspiration from another musical about a certain founding father, but it is a fully original work.

 

Synopsis: "Burr is the third vice president of the United States. He's also the epicenter of a crazy insane plot to sever the newly-birthed America in two and crown himself god-king of a brand new nation. 'Burr' is the story of how it all went wrong."

Right now, Sam and I are raising money to be able to put this amazing work on a stage for the first time next spring at our college in Ithaca, NY. We're hoping to have the funds collected by March 2022. Listen, we are two broke college kids producing this show independently, which means we need all the help we can get. We calculated that about $1000 would cover the expenses of a set, costumes, musicians, lights, and sound. Don't miss your chance to be a part of this spectacular work and support independent theatre!
