Bury my Deadname

Hey there, I'm Dyl, and I'm raising money for a legal name change!

I came out as Dylan and trans-masc over a year ago, and I've come to feel very at-home in my identity. I started a new job right after the change, and I was blessed by a whole new group of people who have never known me by another name. While my dead-name doesn't present an issue in most social interactions, it has come up in my employment, in any instance that I need to give my government ID, and from a few folks who insist on referring to me by my *legal name*.

So here are the expenses because it isn't cheap:

$35 for a CBI fingerprinting/background check (Colorado Bureau of Investigations)

$55 for FBI fingerprinting/background check

$100 to petition the court

$60 to update my license

As a single parent working as a special education paraprofessional, I appreciate all of your help.
