Help send my students to the Oscars Museum

Tax deductible
The RHSA School of Film is a new high school film program at Long Beach's only public arts high school, Renaissance High School for the Arts. We serve students in one of the most diverse school districts in the country, including many first-generation college students, immigrant students, BIPOC students, LGBTQ students, and those from working-class backgrounds.

But just as important as our backgrounds is who we are now: We are storytellers and filmmakers!

And we cannot imagine a better way to become inspired and learn about becoming filmmakers than by visiting the brand new, state-of-the-art Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles.

The museum offers free admission to students, but we must fundraise for the transportation costs. A bus to transport 46 students cost approximately $800-$1200 a day depending on availability. We currently have 95 students in the program and will need two buses for our trip on Thursday, November 3rd, 2022. Any remaining unspent funds will go to future field trips or equipment needs. (The Lucas Museum of Narrative Storytelling will open in 2023).

Your donation to RHSA's "Bus to the Oscars Museum" Campaign will go through our school's parent association. Long Beach Renaissance High School PARTS: Parents for the Arts (PARTS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit PTSO supporting the arts and academic programs at Renaissance High School for the Arts in Long Beach, CA.
