****First & Foremost**** PLEASE SHARE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN. Every Share Helps. If you can't afford to donate, share more. On Thursday, 2/22 at 2 PM, 38 Lawton St. in Bushwick, Brooklyn suffered a major fire. Thankfully, no one was injured, but residents lost a pet cat and most personal belongings to the fire and subsequent smoke & water damage. This is a collective fund to help the 10 residents recover their belongings and relocate. My name is Robert Murray. I'm a former Bushwick community board member and Bushwick resident. I was notified of this emergency by good friend and resident of 38 Lawton St., Denis.
After seeing firsthand the destruction and loss suffered by these 10 people, I knew they wouldn't be able to recover on their own with ease. Luckily, I'm not the only one that realized the gravity of the situation. Many friends, neighbors and local businesses have pitched in by creating many ways to help.
Funds will be given to & distributed by Addison Godel - Tenant of 38 Lawton Street.
Special Thanks to: Kyle Morris, Thierry Laurent, James Watson, Jamie Frey, Michael Schnapp, Councilman Rafael Espinal, The Red Cross, H.R.A, The Gateway, Marcos on Broadway, Many other neighbors & friends
