Many of you may remember our Father and Friend, Butch. Over the past two months, Butch suffered two heart attacks, complications with Diabetes, blood infections, organ failure, Pneumonia, dialysis, bed sores, and was in the ICU unit of Falmouth Hospital for 7 weeks. During which time, while a nurse was attending to him, he rolled out of bed, and broke his nose, lost a tooth, and had multiple contusions, as well as B-Fib 3 times in one day. After all this Butch was on the road to recovery and he was moved off Cape to Rehab. During this time, his daughter Melissa, continued to pay ALL OF HIS FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS, in anticipation of coming home. On April 10, 2017, Butch was Med-flighted to a Boston Hospital for a GI bleed, where he underwent surgery. Butch spent 2 weeks in ICU under sedation, and on April 26, 2017, after fighting for his life so many times (boy was he a fighter) and being in the hospital since February we were told by the doctors there was nothing more they could do for our Father and Friend as he was in complete kidney failure. Butch was moved to Hospice about three days before he passed away on May 1, 2017. In order to provide final services for our father and your friend, we are asking for your donation. AS LITTLE AS $10.00 WILL BE A GREAT HELP!!
Memorial service will be held on Wednesday May 24th, at 11am. St. Pius X Church,
So.Yarmouth. An obituary will be in the Cape Cod Times two days prior to the service..
On Monday May 1st, we lost our beloved father and friend, Diolindo Fells, known to his friends and family as Butch. Over the past few weeks, we've seen an incredible outpouring of love for our dad. We have spoken to so many of his friends, from the east coast, to the west coast, that he met through the decades of his life. We are touched and humbled by the love and support, from so many heart-felt people. Butch was well known and respected on the Cape by all; he was an inspiration to those who knew him. He enjoyed life and cherished his friends and family. We are all blessed to have wonderful memories of Butch, that we will carry in our hearts for the rest of our lives. Those memories will forever make us all smile.
Butch’s legacy will always be, one of love, laughter and loyalty, not to mention those big, bright brown eyes, that reflected an amazingly kind and generous soul. That’s a pretty special way to leave this earth.
We are asking everyone to help support Butch, Melissa & Michelle, to help with his final expenses to lay him to rest.
Donate today, no amount is to small, please help us spread the word by sharing this link. Thank you all and God Bless you.
