The Butte Friendly Sons and Daughters of St. Patrick is the longest-running St. Patrick's Day tradition in Butte. The Friendly Sons and Daughters of St. Patrick host a banquet annually on March 16th. This year we celebrated the 112th annual banquet honoring the Irish culture and heritage that runs as deep as copper veins in Butte.
The proceeds from the annual banquet fund scholarships for local high school students who honor and promote their Irish heritage and culture in their activities and studies. The Friendly Sons and Daughters of St. Patrick are proud to provide scholarships to these fine young men and women each year.
The organization faced economic hardship due to the cancellation of two banquets due to the pandemic. There were expenses to the organization due to the cancellation of banquets and for filing to become a 501c3 organization. In 2022, the Butte Friendly Sons and Daughters of St. Patrick became an official 501c3 organization with the Internal Revenue Service.
Please support Irish culture and youth education by pledging and help us cover these expenses. Thank you for your generosity.
