Buy $10 of Bricks to Build "The Creative House"

Donation protected
The dream of a Heal the Hood Creative Wellness House is becoming a reality. We have purchased the property. Now to dream the next phase and act on the steps to manifest the building.

As Breakdancers, we struggled to find suitable spaces for rehearsals, resorting to makeshift areas like school classrooms, hallways, and driveways. However, this challenge gave rise to the idea of establishing creative spaces rooted in the very communities we aimed to empower. Creating them in the community will directly empower the immediate communities, while bringing outside assistance and possibilities for economic growth.

We will ignite our creative currency through concepts like "The Mathematics of Survival to Thriving" and "Diversifying Your Creative Income Streams." These concepts not only propelled personal success, but also facilitated sending over 250 dancers to international events and aided the Heal the Hood Project in acquiring a vehicle.

Recognizing the financial strain of constantly renting event spaces and investing in sound, security, and transportation, the initiative aimed to decentralize economic and creative power. The focus shifted towards demonstrating that artistic innovation could fund property ownership within communities, benefitting both the artists and the communities themselves.

Envision a global network of Heal the Hood Creative Wellness Houses where youth are encouraged to ideate and implement community solutions. These spaces would facilitate skill-sharing, lessons, and global exchanges while nurturing creativity. Rooted in the birthplace of human creativity at the Southern tip of Africa, these houses could become hubs for devising solutions to modern-day challenges faced by humanity, especially in times when creativity is discouraged by educational systems.

Imagine a seamless exchange of experiences and friendships among artists and youth houses worldwide. Picture a world where artists travel to each other's communities, sharing wealth and knowledge while enhancing global friendships. Consider a scenario where universities support these community houses instead of conventional hotels, facilitating cultural immersion and economic support within these communities.

The concept aims to humanize global travel experiences by redirecting economic support back to the people who need it most. It's about building connections, preserving heritage, and honoring local heroes within these community spaces.

Presently, the Heal The Hood Creative Wellness House #1 in Grassy Park, Cape Town, South Africa has acquired land and aims to construct the inaugural house. Plans include launching a Buy A Brick campaign alongside a Hip Hop As Healing Festival in 2024, intending to draw attention to the project's cause. Additionally, a documentary highlighting the creative impact of Breakdancing and Artistic Expression on the initiative's mission and the necessity for these dedicated spaces is in the works.

Each house has dedicated spaces for dance studio, recording studio, workshops, Heal The Hood Hip Hop Museum, Accommodation for visiting artists, students, facilitators, touring groups, Heal The Hood Offices, Performance venue, Classrooms, Video editing & screening room, etc. We have a full plan for those wishing to see the details.

We are asking $10 or more to raise our missing or 1 million bricks at a $1 a brick. Please support the next phase and follow our journey. THANK YOU
