Support Lorton Volunteer Fire Department’s annual banquet!
This is the opportunity to show appreciation to the volunteers and career firefighters who keep our community safe daily. It’s important to the fire department staff that we provide this meal free of charge for our firefighters and EMS professionals as a token of gratitude. Your $40 donation will pay for the meal of one firefighter, although we will gladly accept any contribution.
Every year the fire department hosts a banquet to celebrate the past year and to officially recognize our new incoming officers. During the banquet we recognize our volunteer members for the sacrifices they make throughout the year. The evening consists of a formal dinner and an awards ceremony to recognize the accomplishments of the Lorton Volunteer Fire Department.
The Lorton Volunteer Fire Department has been serving Lorton’s 21,000 residents since 1954. In addition to providing supplemental staffing for the Department’s ambulances and fire engine, our organization is responsible for purchasing new apparatus through fundraising and generous benefactors.
