Buy a new multipurpose rescue sleigh for BOISAR

Donation protected
The Western Sno-riders have been very fortunate over the years to have the support of our riders and the community at our events and fundraisers. As a thank you for all the support we would like to partner up with the entire outdoor community to help a group that is always there to help us. During a recent visit to the Bay of Islands Search and Rescue reunion in Bowater Park we noted their rescue sleigh was in need of replacement. The people who volunteer their time to come for us when we are in trouble need the best of gear in our opinion. We were also thinking of someone being injured traveling in a rescue sleigh….well we personally would want as much comfort as we can get. Wouldn’t you??
So we went on the hunt and located a high end rescue sleigh that also has an ATV conversion kit. We think this sleigh would be such a benefit to the SAR team and to anybody who has the misfortune to have to ride in one because of a backcountry accident. The new Rescue Sleigh is fully enclosed, has lights and a heater. It is almost two feet longer and one foot wider than the current one they have. The SAR attendant and the patient are inside with plenty of room, heat and protected from the elements. All of which are very important if you have to travel a long distance while injured in less than favorable weather conditions.
WSR are taking the lead on this project but we want this to be a community initiative. We want your help to provide BOISAR with the best equipment. We are calling on all outdoor enthusiasts, community groups and business that rely on Bay of Islands Search and Rescue to come save them when things go wrong….and we all know they do.
So if you are a cabin owner or you hike, ski, snowmobile, ATV, fish, hunt, mountain bike, camp, or are a group or business that supports these types of activities we are asking for your support to help get this rescue sled for our local team. WSR would like to start the fundraiser off with a $500 donation. Any person, community group or business who matches or beats that $500 will have their name or logo attached to the sled showing them as a community supporter of this project.
