Buy books and supplies for a classroom

Hi. My name is Matt Karnes. I was hired as a history, government, and economics teacher at a small private school in San Jose, California. The textbooks books the school has, though approved by the State of California, are woefully inadequate, and lack the voices of the people who originated and developed the ideas my students have to learn. I have been augmenting, when able, from my private library, but my students really need their own copies of Bastiat, Friedman, Sowell, Marx, the Bible, Keynes, McDonald, Davis, McClay, and others. Additionally, the class needs an American flag, a pencil sharpener, a bookshelf, a globe, portraits of President Washington, Lincoln, and Biden, a copy of Adams' timechart of world history, a timechart of U.S. history, and more. I have found most of these items for sale as used or at discounted prices but the cost is still greater than the value of my bank accoount. It is my hope that if even half of the people I know give a little bit, I will be able to turn that money into a wonderful experience for my students.
