A true Irish heroine! Interviewed on RTÉ she said: "I looked across the road and I saw a man in a stabbing motion with a load of children. So I flew across the road and the man had stabbed two children as far as I could make out." She continued: "We got another young man, and we disarmed him [the attacker] with the knife, another man took the knife and put it away for the garda to find it. Two children and the woman were taken back into the school where they were coming from. It was absolutely bedlam." Ms Kearney then teamed up with an American woman to "form a circle around the attacker" while they waited for emergency services to arrive.
