Help Ralph fight Cancer - 2025 Update

Born in '63, diagnosed with esophageal cancer in '24.

All those who know my father know "sitting still doing nothing" was never possible. Not even cancer can keep him from shimmying about, reading omnivorously and tinkering away at all manner of projects.

That said, the toll that such a diagnosis takes is more total than on the health of a body. It requires so many other lives to re-arrange, to care, to come together in support.

This fundraiser aims to support my parents as they navigate the awful, Kafkaesque nightmare that is the American healthcare system.

It is my aim to update this campaign in a transparent and quick manner while preserving the privacy of the family.

There is no real telling "how much" anything will cost health-related, so I'm keeping this fundraiser more focused on providing more immediate help:

(1) A new couch, for my dad to lie down on.

(2) Money for food delivery and groceries while FMLA is unpaid

(3) Purchase of small, in-house medical equipment (cushions, gauze, saline, maybe a fancy body pillow)
