Buy shoes for children in Bukavu, DR Congo

Hi, my name is Theresa and I have known the people working at the Peace and Conflict Resolution Foundation for 3 years. They, like many peacebuilders, work diligently to help those facing abject poverty by raising funds or donations to meet physical needs such as clothing, access to health, and food. To increase the potential for a safer future they provide education, especially in nonviolent conflict resolution.

While the Directors, Samuel and Faida, and their team, do their best to provide school readiness for some 300 children, to raise funds for admission fees, uniforms and school supplies they are always falling short. Last year they were able to provide shoes for 40 children. This year they have asked me to help to raise enough funds to buy shoes for all of the children. The priority for these funds raised will go to providing shoes to the children. If any funds are raised over the goal of $3000 the money will go to provide other much-needed resources for the children.
