In response to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, we are launching a relief effort to support those directly impacted, including members of our community — BuzzFeed has a number of employees and their families' based in Ukraine. We are utilizing our platform and voice through BuzzFeed News and HuffPost’s coverage of the crisis in Ukraine. BuzzFeed, Inc. is proud to have journalists and freelancers reporting on the ground, and to have a team of tech contractors based in Ukraine who are vital to our work. Now more than ever, it is critical that we join together to increase awareness and raise donations for community-led organizations providing relief abroad.

 

Collectively, we can make a difference. We hope to make the biggest impact possible by creating a central fund to support a variety of local organizations providing basic necessities, medical equipment and protection to displaced and at-risk Ukraine. BuzzFeed, Inc.’s commitment is to leverage our platform and reach to help fuel these organizations to continue their incredible work. Every dollar counts!

 

Donations made to this fundraiser will be managed by GoFundMe.org, a 501(c)3 public charity, which will be providing grants to vetted nonprofit organizations providing crucial humanitarian aid to those impacted by this crisis.
