Bella Vista HS - Honor Band Scholarship Fund

The Bella Vista High School Band Booster Club started an Honor Band Scholarship Fund in 2023 to help remove the financial barriers submitting auditions to honor bands and support those band students with application and registration fees as well as program/conference fees if accepted into various programs around the state. Each audition submission costs around $50 and if a student is accepted, all the costs of participation are $600+! Our students submit to local (Capitol Section), regional (All Northern), and State-wide (All State).

Last year, with money raised, we were able to help support Seth Morris who was accepted into the Capitol Section where he was first chair, All Northern, and All State! He is now on scholarship, majoring in music at the University of the Pacific as a direct result of his participation in these honor bands.

The results are still coming in from our local honor bands, but so far, we have Danielle Schmidt who has been accepted into the California All-State Symphonic Band! Danielle is the drum major for the marching band, plays clarinet in the wind ensemble, lead alto in the top jazz ensemble, and even drum set in our 3rd jazz ensemble.

All Donations received will go toward building the scholarship fund for honor band students this year like Danielle and future Honor Band students. All donations are tax-deductible as the Band Booster is a non-profit 501(c)3.
