Spine Surgery & Recovery

Hi everyone,

UPDATE:

I just had the surgery and now my healing begins. I will be off my feet for several weeks maybe months and will not be able to work.

If you know me, then you know that prior to creating this page, I tapped all my resources for assistance. This is an extremely difficult time, as I have been suffering from a very painful, long-term chronic condition in my spine and neck. I am no longer able to tolerate or endure the amount of pain I'm facing every day, which is effecting everything from daily chores and grocery shopping to painful sleepless nights... let alone just trying work.

After years of no medical resolve, I've just been accepted into a program at UCLA. No alternative treatments have worked thus far, so I'll be moving forward with corrective surgery this year Sept 13 is the date . I'll be having a disc replacement and fusion on two separate levels. This is extremely humbling and to be frank it’s embarrassing. I would never create this page unless it were a back against the wall situation which it is.

All my work is as an independent contractor, therefore I do not have access to any disability benefits. As I’m sure you know, this is an expensive surgery and during this procedure and after I will be entirely responsible for all associated costs, and unable to work as I recover. I am raising money so I can have this procedure, because the fact is, I'll need some help as I recover and rehabilitate. I'm hoping to cover rent bills and the basic expenses for a few months, I thank you all so much.
