Fort Myers Brewing Staff Hurricane Ian Recovery
Donation protected
Fort Myers Brewing fans, we need your help!
Hurricane Ian brought forth an extreme amount of damage to our community. We have been fortunate over the years to have support from our entire community, including most of the hotels, restaurants, bars, convenience and grocery stores on our beaches. Our thoughts, first and foremost, are with the families and business owners who have lost everything.
Our entire team is safe and accounted for; however, they are now working to overcome varying levels of physical damage to their homes. FMBrew employees are our family, and we are committed to doing everything to keep our team together and help them continue providing for their own families. Some have been with us since we opened our doors and are the familiar faces greeting you when you visit the brewery. They – along with all of you – are what makes Fort Myers Brewing special.
We are unbelievably grateful that our brewery is standing, yet we have not weathered Hurricane Ian unscathed – far from it. We have a significant business interruption insurance policy that we thought would kick in after an instance like this to support our employees with lost wages due to business closures. Unfortunately, because our building is standing, we've learned that this may not be considered a “qualifying event.”
We’re asking for the community’s help as these team members get back on their feet. Any amount you can give will make a world of difference for our employees as they work to repair their homes and lives after the storm.
Our commitment to you: Any donation made will go directly to our staff and not to any ownership.
Thank you for your support,
